Conference banquet at Fort Henry
On Thursday evening, we will relocate to Fort Henry, a 5 minutes taxi ride or 35 minutes walk from our conference hotel.
Fort Henry was originally constructed for the war of 1812 (both Canada and the USA claim to have won this war, but we all know that Canada really won), and the current construction is from 1832, set up in order to protect the end of the Rideau canal (a UNESCO World Heritage site) where it’s entering Lake Ontario.
We meet at 18:00, and will receive a half-hour tour of the fort, followed by appetizers with a drink on the bistro overlooking lake Ontario.
A three course banquet dinner, served by soldier servants in 19th century uniforms, will then commence at 19:00. The banquet price is covered for delegates (including one glass of wine), with an extra cost of $76.50 for additional guests (please note on the registration form if you are bringing a guest/s). There will be a cash bar as well.
